The net-zero transition drove the enforcement of stringent CO2 emission regulations. The result of these regulations is increasing the number of electric vehicles. Moreover, several nations and governments are introducing bonuses and fiscal advantages to push the demand and adoption of electric-vehicles. According to ACEA, the sales of electric vehicles has increased by 110% in 3 years*. Moreover, it is expected to reach 35 million of electric vehicles in 2030**. Therefore, the increasing of EVs requires an adequate electric infrastructure. Nevertheless, the number of EVs charging stations increased by just 58% in 3 years and it is expected to reach 4.5 million points in 2030.
At the moment the charging points available on the market are not able to satisfy the demand for energy requested by the increasing number of electric vehicles.
